Some sleeping bags are made with recycled components, some aren't. Some are made with eco friendly linings, some aren't, and there is a world of difference between the level of warmth you get from a good quality sleeping bag and a poor one. They may look like they've got the same amount of insulation but cheaper, less efficient bags will use much more weight and bulk to get the same effect. It pays to choose a reputable outdoor brand as well as one with strong green credentials.
